Perched at the very top of the Retreat House, this room boasts an unparalleled 360 view of the lake. Its bright breezy feel and African themed decor makes it a consistent favourite for visitors to the Bay. At this height the noise of the waves and birds become more of a background hum, giving the room a peaceful ambiance with a stunning backdrop, especially during sunrise and sunset. It’s an ideal vantage point to watch the local fishing boats passing by, as well as flocks of exotic birds flying below. Even the bathroom embedded into the corner of the room has a spectacular view, with the lush green Namiryango island to the south standing out against the blue of the lake. Ideal as a romantic getaway for couples, or for solo travellers wanting a unique experience of Lake Victoria. Amenities include: Queen size bed with mosquito net, chairs. Inbuilt en suite bathroom with a view. Previous guest’s favourite aspect: You will get fit on the stairs up to the room, but the view is absolutely worth it!
