The Lookout Point
Perched at the very top of the Retreat House, this room boasts an unparalleled 360 view of the lake. Its bright breezy feel and African themed decor makes it a consistent favourite for visitors to the Bay. At this height the noise of the waves and birds become more of a background hum, giving the room a peaceful ambiance with a stunning backdrop, especially during sunrise and sunset. It’s an ideal vantage point to watch the local fishing boats passing by, as well as flocks of exotic birds flying below. Even the bathroom embedded into the corner of the room has a spectacular view, with the lush green Namiryango island to the south standing out against the blue of the lake. Ideal as a romantic getaway for couples, or for solo travellers wanting a unique experience of Lake Victoria.
Amenities include: Queen size bed with mosquito net, chairs. Inbuilt en suite bathroom with a view.

Cottage upon the Lake
This secluded cottage at the tip of the peninsula is one of our most popular rooms. Cross a small bridge to escape to this unique double bedroom situated on Lake Victoria itself, as a stand-alone island. With a 270 degree view of the water you will have exceptional views of sunrise/sunset, local birdlife, and passing fishing boats. Surrounded by the sound of gentle waves and the chattering of birds, you feel totally immersed in nature, and won’t fail to relax in this idyllic location.
Amenities include a small kitchenette, fridge and kettle. Queen size bed with mosquito net, en suite bathroom. Desk and sofa.

The Bird Hideout
This secluded guest room is tucked away at the side of the Retreat House. It has a peaceful veranda overlooking a steep rock garden which trails down to the lake. For this reason it is a favourite spot for our birdwatching guests, with the overhanging trees attracting a diversity of spectacular East African birdlife. It is also enjoyed by guests who are simply looking for a tranquil and private location set back from the lake. So if you want an idyllic hideaway vacation, or you’re a budding ornithologist, we would highly recommend this room.

The Master Retreat
Set within the Retreat House, this spacious room is furnished with a queen bed. It has a north-facing balcony with it’s own private entrance, and excellent views of sunrise and sunset over Lake Victoria, as well as a window overlooking the peninsula. It also has easy access to the lounge/dining area in the Retreat House, and excellent internet connectivity.
Amenities include: Queen size bed with mosquito net. Desk and chairs, walk-in wardrobe, spacious en suite bathroom

The Family Retreat
Set within the Retreat House overlooking the lake, this room is ideal for families, furnished with a queen bed and a double bunk bed. It has a north-facing balcony with it’s own private entrance, and excellent views of sunrise and sunset over Lake Victoria. It also has easy access to the lounge/dining area in the Retreat House, and excellent internet connectivity.
